​June was quiet but July was busier: Tina was invited to attend a meeting of the Care Quality Commission in London for consultation on priorities etc and she attended an Age Scotland meeting on policy in Dumfries. We are pleased to welcome the Stocks Hall Care Group to membership of the UK List. The group has five care homes and nursing homes in Lancashire. One joined in May following the Care Roadshow in Liverpool and the remaining four joined this month after circulation of our materials to the rest of the group. A meeting of our sister organisation, Vegetarian Housing Association, was held in July – to progress the merger of the two organisations. We are hopeful this will happen before the end of 2013.
