Swiss Muesli

This is an adaptation of the famous Dr Bircher-Benner’s muesli.

Time to prepare: 10 mins
Dietary requirements: Egg-free, Halal, Kosher, Vegan, Vegan (with substitutions)

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp oat flakes
  • 3 grated apples
  • 1 sliced banana
  • 1 tbsp honey (or maple syrup for vegans)
  • 3 tbsp live yoghurt (or soya yoghurt for vegans)
  • 1 tbsp chopped dates
  • 1 tbsp raisins
  • 1 tbsp ground almonds
  • Other fresh fruit in season

Instructions

  1. Soak the oats overnight in just sufficient water to cover.
  2. Add all the other ingredients and mix well.
