Nutty Banana Spread

A delicious, creamy spread that is filling and nutritious.

Dietary requirements: Dairy-free, Egg-free, Halal, Kosher, Vegan

Ingredients

  • Half a large banana
  • 20g/3/4 oz sunflower seeds
  • 1 tsp nut or seed butter (peanut, almond, cashew etc)
  • 1 tsp raisins, dried cranberries or currants

Instructions

  1. Mash banana well.
  2. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  3. If you prefer a completely smooth spread, blend everything together.
  4. Serve at once on bread, toast, rice or oatcakes – or a gluten-free alternative.
