Help older vegans and vegetarians share their stories

Posted by Amanda on 19/01/26 in VfL News and Events

Do you work in a care home, retirement community or support service for older people? Do you have residents who are vegan or vegetarian with fascinating life stories to tell?

Our sister brand, V for Life, has launched a special project called Veggie Voices – an exhibition celebrating older veg*ns and their journeys. As part of this, they’re inviting people aged 50+ to submit a short filmed story about their experience.

This is a wonderful opportunity for care staff to:

  • Support residents to share their memories.
  • Encourage creativity and reflection.
  • Help preserve personal histories.
  • Take part in a national cultural project.

Filming doesn’t need to be complicated – a smartphone and a quiet room are perfect. Residents can talk about why they became veg*n, what it was like decades ago and how attitudes have changed.

Read the full blog on the V for Life website for all the details, filming tips and how to submit.
